Moshav Avigdor

Our sweet cousins Arie & Orna invited us to their home, which is on a huge plot of land within a communal settlement about 40 miles southwest of Jerusalem.  It was a bus ride to get there, in which the kids did great.

We had the most amazing morning, simply playing on this beautiful land.  The kids were so happy and comfortable, they were filthy and soaking wet within an hour of arriving...the true mark of any good day.

Then they played tour guide and took us to a famous battleground where the residents of Kibbutz Negba fought off the Egyptian Army.  And then to a beautiful memorial a father built for his son who died during his tour of duty.

Arie and Orna have completely adopted us and not only came to visit during our first week, but lugged our huge carseats home with them so they could pick us up from the bus station and call every few days to make sure we are okay.  They are our TRUE family here. Seeing how Cela and Sam quickly came to love them only makes it that much sweeter.
