The pool is something we found on our last trip, but never took advantage of. It is now one of our favorite things to do.
Cela is madly in love with her bathingsuit and begs to wear it all the time, including over her pajamas while i'm folding laundry.
We spend most of our time playing on the steps, but it is a great way to spend a morning and we have the BEST naps after a day of sun and water play! I'm not sure which part Cela and Sam love most...the water play or sitting in the shade resting, snacking and of course drying off naked begging not to get dressed in dry clothes!
There are so many playgrounds here, and Cela is working hard to share, take turns, include Sam, and every now and then have a conversation in Hebrew. We find that most families here choose English as their first language, so our dream of having Cela speaking hebrew with other kids will have to wait until we enroll her in a day camp here on our next trip.
There are many malls here, but right outside the Old City is a great place to get some energy out before a long walk home. there are art exhibitions sitting right out in the outdoor walkway that the kids just love.
The mall - why would we go to an inside mall in a country rich with so much to do? Well, it's interesting to see how a mall tells you about an area, and because it is air conditioned and has stuff for kids to do when Mommy and Aba are tired!!
And when all else fails, we have lots to do in the apartment. Cela took a flashcard game and turned it into something quite astounding...a trail that she and Sam had to follow with lots of completely incomprehensible rules. And as with all things Cela, clothing was optional.
and of course there is always something to clean...Sam's the man with the broom.
