Old City Exploration

There is so much to see and do in the Old City, however, we were stumped as to how to get there with our double stroller!  With Cela in 2011, we braved the skinny alleys and stairs and just lifted her in the stroller.  Not a possibility with the two of them! So we discovered the LONG way around taking a bus to the kotel promenade and then hoofing it to the Jaffa Gate.

Amazing experience at the kotel for several reasons.  One is because it is the Kotel.  Two is because there was a group of 3-4 year olds from a preschool who went with their teacher to the men's side and sang at the top of their lungs.  It caused quite a stir...women were standing on chairs to peer over and see them!

And finally, because we got to place our latest prayers for our family.  I asked Cela what she would like to ask God for, and her reply was one word: "princesses"...I figured what the heck and put it in!

We also took the train to the Damascus Gate for our visit to the Austrian Hospice...one of the most beautiful gardens and breathtaking views of the city.
